M.D., FRCPC (Psychiatry)
“I specialise in the conditions others call "too complex" — because complexity deserves curiosity, not dismissal.”
About
My Style
My approach integrates medication expertise with deep psychotherapy. I think carefully about when a prescription is warranted and when what is truly needed is a relationship that does not give up.
Before Our First Session
Before our first session, know that I have worked with many people who have had difficult experiences in the mental health system. I take that history seriously.
I Am Best With
I am best with clients who have been through multiple treatments without feeling understood — those who have been labelled "difficult" and know that label says more about the system than about them.
Referrals Welcome
I welcome referrals for borderline personality disorder, treatment-resistant depression, and complex presentations that do not fit neatly into one box.
I Refer Out For
I refer out for couples therapy, ADHD-focused coaching, and neuropsychological assessment.
Outside the Practice
Outside work, I practise Bharatanatyam dance, grow chillies competitively (yes, it is a thing), and read psychoanalytic case studies for pleasure.
What Shaped My Practice
My fellowship at McLean under leading personality disorder researchers changed my trajectory — I saw that the patients everyone feared were simply the ones in the most pain, and I wanted to sit with that pain rather than manage it from a distance.
